Hilliard’s Summer Rec Camps offer a variety of fun, educational programs for ages 5.5 – 15.
This enrichment-style day camp is held at the Well.
Camp hours are 7:45 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. weekdays from June 8 through Aug. 14. Camp activities include outdoor group games, sports, swimming, arts and crafts, nature, science experiments, treasure hunts, and more. All main camp activities occur from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., with “before camp” starting at 7:45 a.m. and “after camp” until 5:30 p.m.
Campers must be ages 5.5 – 11 by June 8 and have completed full-day kindergarten through the fifth grade. Camp will not be held at this site on June 19.
Hilliard Resident registration opens Jan. 27 at 9 a.m. and non-resident registration opens Jan. 29 at 9 a.m. for this site. It is advised to activate your online account before the registration date.

Rec Camp- Municipal Park (formally field explorers camp) will both be indoors AND outdoors camp. Please note that there is no camp during the week of June 29-July 3.
Camp activities include outdoor group games, sports, swimming, arts and crafts, nature, science experiments, treasure hunts, nature hikes, wildlife education, and more. All main camp activities occur from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m., with “before camp” starting at 7:45 a.m. and “after camp” until 5:30 p.m. Walking field trips to the Hilliard Family Aquatic Center will occur unless inclement weather is forecasted.
Wear closed-toed shoes, bring a hat, sunscreen, cool clothing, a water bottle, pack a lunch, and snack (no refrigeration provided). Must like playing outdoors as we will enjoy hot summer days outside in the Dogwood Shelter and under the canopy of trees at Roger A. Reynolds Municipal Park for at least 50 percent of the camp day. Arts and crafts, team building, and enrichment programming will take place in doors in our old senior center building. Swimming will take place at the Hilliard Family Aquatic Center Monday through Friday.

All aboard as we travel back in time to learn about Hilliard’s Heritage. Campers learn about the lifestyles and experiences that allowed the Hilliard community to grow and thrive. Our partners at the Hilliard Historical Society provide speakers, docents, and tours of the Historical Village at Weaver Park.
Camp is held at the Norwich Pavilion in Weaver Park. Pack lunch, snack, and water bottle. Tennis shoes required. No swimming during this camp but a walking field trip to Hilliard’s Station Splash pad will occur Monday through Friday.
Campers must be ages 6 – 12 and have completed full-day kindergarten through 5th grade.

This hands on, activity-based camp blends science, technology, engineering, and math with the fun of a traditional recreational camp setting. No prior STEM experience is needed, just a curious mind and a sense of adventure! Campers will have the opportunity to swim Monday through Friday at the Hilliard Family Aquatic Facility.

Safety Town is a one-week course that focuses on teaching children safe practices both at school and at home. The curriculum includes bicycle safety, pedestrian safety, school bus safety, fire safety, seat belt safety, gun safety, 911, and stranger danger. Instructors are Hilliard’s first responders, educators, and public service workers. Safety Town is open to children entering kindergarten in the fall.

Your preschooler will have the opportunity to enjoy the camp experience by participating in crafts, music, and games while interacting with others. Students must be potty trained. Parents do not need to stay on site.

Rec Camp: Counselor in Training Program
Our counselor in training program teaches teens to develop their leadership skills while learning what it takes to become a Hilliard Rec Camp counselor. In addition to helping lead camp activities alongside the camp counselors.
Spots are limited and CITS are selected by camp director.
Cost: $100 per week
Age: Finished 6th grade to 15 years old
