Hilliard operates two seasonal outdoor municipal pools: the Hilliard Family Aquatic Center (HFAC) and the CBS Community Pool. In addition to providing a safe space for families to play and spend time together, the municipal pools also organize swimming lessons and events for community members of all ages.
The Hilliard Family Aquatic Center is one of the largest outdoor municipal complexes in Ohio and features two 30- foot water slides, a 25-yard competition pool, an interactive leisure pool, and more.
Hours are limited and certain amenities may be unavailable for the safety of patrons during opening week due to limited lifeguard availability.
HFAC closes Aug. 18. Most of our lifeguards are college and high school students, so this facility closes to allow us to shift the rest of our staff to the CBS Community Pool and to ensure the safety of our patrons.

Franklin County Board of Health sanitation regulations require all persons to wear a bathing suit with a hygienic liner while swimming. Clothing is only permitted on top of a bathing suit, if it is specified for pool use.
Swim diapers are required for all users not toilet trained. No mermaid tails, swim devices, or clothing that restrict leg use.

Only pool-approved toys and balls are permitted, at the discretion of Aquatic Management.
All toys, equipment, and flotation devices must be used as intended by the manufacturer.
Patrons are encouraged to check with pool staff before bringing toys into the water.
Prohibited Toys

Please note: Passing a swim test does not exempt those aged 13 and under from our Active Supervision Policy.
We offer some great food and beverage options at our pool concession stands, but we also know some folks want to bring their own snacks to enjoy.
Guests are welcome to bring in outside food and beverages in coolers, but for the safety and cleanliness of our facilities there are a few rules families must follow.
No touching, feeding, or interacting with wildlife or wildlife habitats.
Height & Eligibility
Per Ohio law, riders must be at least 6 inches taller than the water depth where the slide exits. On-site measurements only are accepted (doctor notes are not accepted). Adults may not ride with children who do not meet the height requirement.
Riding Procedures
One rider at a time. Riders must wait to be dispatched and remain in line. Feet first, facing forward only. Exit the slide area immediately after landing. Parents may not catch children at the bottom of body or tube slides at HFAC or Clyde “Butch” Seidle Community Pool.
Tubes & Equipment
No flotation devices allowed. Solid tubes are for the tube slide only. Tube slide users must carry tubes—do not walk inside them. No flipping out of tubes.
Attire & Safety
No goggles, shoes, sunglasses, jeans, or swimsuits with rivets. Shoes may not be worn during height measurement. No sitting on the edge of catch areas with feet in the water.
Flotation aids, such as round inner-tubes, must be completely transparent and no more than 48 inches (4 feet) in diameter or length. Glitter inside or outside of the float is not permissible. The only permitted infant floats (both opaque and translucent) must meet ALL criteria as follows:
Small foam pool noodles are approved for use, however large plastic-coated pool noodles will not be permitted by pool staff.
Pool staff maintain the right to require removal of any floatation aid that that obstructs lifeguard view of the bottom of the water or surrounding area.
Floatation devices, such as life jackets, puddle jumpers, and water wings are not permitted on any slide or permitted for use by those using the diving boards.
Children in floatation devices must be actively supervised within arms reach of an adult 18 years or older. Neck floats are not permitted for any age under any circumstances.
Usage by groups requires one adult supervisor for every two children ages 5 years and younger/wearing a flotation device. Children ages 6-13 years must be visually supervised by an adult at least 18 years or older at all times.
Usage by groups requires one adult supervisor to every five children ages 6-13 years. All daycare centers and camps must sign an annual agreement and submit their proposed swim schedule to aquatic management for review prior to Memorial Day weekend. Submissions and updated agreements may be sent to [email protected] for review and approval at the discretion of aquatics management.
The purchase of an outdoor pool membership or daily admission is for use of the main pool at both outdoor aquatic facilities.
The main pool is always available when the facility is open. We reserve the right to close one or more pools, specific amenities such as interactive leisure pool, slides, and/or competition pool, or facilities if the need arises due to staffing, programming, or weather.
Our number one priority is safety and having the required number of lifeguards necessary for us to operate.
